Privacy Policy
The short version: our apps are built to work on your device. We don’t sell your data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t use third-party trackers. On this website we only collect what you choose to send us, such as your email address when you join the waitlist.
Who we are
Lunara (“Lunara”, “we”, “us”) is an independent studio that makes calm, crafted apps, including the Lunara universe app for iPhone and Lot, a random picker for Android. If you have any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].
This website
Waitlist
When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the language you were viewing the site in, and the date you signed up. We use this only to tell you when our apps are ready and to send occasional product news. Every email we send will tell you how to opt out, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Emails you send us
If you write to [email protected], we receive your message and email address and use them only to reply to you.
Hosting and technical data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Waitlist entries are stored in Cloudflare’s infrastructure, and email to our domain is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox.
Cookies and analytics
We don’t use advertising cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party trackers on this site. Your language choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it; it never leaves your device.
Our apps
Lunara (iPhone, coming soon)
Lunara is designed to be private by default. The photos, words, and sketches you add are processed on your device to create your universe, and no account is required. If we later add optional features that involve our servers or a third-party service, such as iCloud sync or optional AI-assisted suggestions, we will explain them clearly in the app and update this policy before they launch. The App Store privacy label will always reflect what the app actually does.
Lot (Android, private preview)
Lot works fully offline. It does not request internet access, has no account and no ads, and does not collect personal data. Your lists are stored only on your device.
How we share data
We don’t sell or rent personal data, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We only share data with service providers that help us run Lunara (such as our hosting and email providers) to the extent they need it to provide their service, or when the law requires it.
Retention
We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for the waitlist. We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make any request, email [email protected] from the address in question. We’ll respond within 30 days. You can also contact your local data protection authority.
Children
Our website and waitlist aren’t directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, they use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on the site or by email to waitlist members.
